Whenever someone visits a church for the first time, he or she is going to have plenty of questions. While we hope this list is helpful, we know that it isn’t exhaustive. If you have other questions, please feel free to call the church at (502) 451-7220 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
What does a typical Sunday morning look like at Deer Park? What time is the service and what type of service is it?
-Like any church, Deer Park is a busy place on Sunday morning. We have Sunday School that begins at 9:30 a.m. During Sunday School, people break up into smaller groups for Bible study and fellowship. It’s one of the best ways to get to know people at the church. Our worship service begins at 10:45 a.m. It’s a mixture of music, Scripture readings, prayers, and a sermon. While we follow a basic pattern for worship each week, each service is different. The music is intentionally eclectic with a mixture of hymns and music sung by our choir.
What do you have for children?
-Children are highly valued at Deer Park. While we love for people of all ages to be in worship together, we understand that sometimes parents prefer to have childcare provided for their small children. Because of this, we have a preschool run by adults with years of childcare experience. Our preschool is open for both Sunday School and worship. We also have age-appropriate Sunday School classes for children. We have a pager system that allows for us to contact parents of children, preschool-age and under, if the need should arise.
